The new dentist’s assistant: KUKA KR AGILUS robot sterilises surgical instruments

Making a virtue out of necessity. This is the philosophy of the dentist Giorgio Castagno, who decided to pursue a career as an entrepreneur as well. The project inspiration came from the desire to reduce time and costs necessary for the sterilisation of surgical instruments by automating the entire cycle. The advantages achieved thanks to the KUKA AGILUS KR6 robot are numerous: the sterilisation process is carried out faster and more accurately than ever before, eliminating any possibility of error or oversight. Furthermore, the SteR machine, once loaded, can also work without human supervision, and therefore also after the office closing hours. Staff have been relieved of the unpleasant and unergonomic task. Now they can to dedicate more time to patient reception and care, ensuring a more comfortable stay.
