Author Douglas Murray reacts to a man chided for eating around people observing Ramadan. In the clip shared by Based Paddy on X, a man pointed out the worker was “stuffing his face” while others observed Ramadan, causing the worker to put his lunch away. “Everything that has grownup in the West on freedom of religion and freedom of thought is predicated on the idea that I can have my beliefs and you can have yours and we are part of the same society,” Mr Murray told Sky News host Rita Panahi. “The moment you change that pact and say actually I have my beliefs and therefore you cannot have yours, everything changes. “And then it becomes effectively an intimidation game or a numbers game and that is obviously what was going on in that clip.”
