Match Highlights: Macclesfield vs Bootle

The Silkmen surrendered their perfect home league record yesterday, as a late Ben Hodkinson strike handed Bootle a 2 - 1 victory. Joe Bunney had given Macc the advantage in the 18th minute with his third goal in as many games, yet Hodkinson was to draw the two sides level with his first strike just after the hour mark. With the home side pushing for a winner, Bootle launched a clinical counter-attack deep into added time - from which Hodkinson swept the ball home to give the visitors maximum points.
