Russia from above: Vyborg (4K)

Vyborg is a town that lies ~130 km northwest of St. Petersburg, ~245 km east of Helsinki, and around 40 km east of the Finnish-Russian border. The town was founded in the 1200s and has changed hands many times, reflected in the various variations of its name: Russian: Выборг [ˈvɨbərk] Finnish: Viipuri [ˈʋiːpuri] Swedish: Viborg [ˈvǐːbɔrj] German: Wiborg [ˈviːbɔʁk]) The town has a population of around 80 000.
