In 1985, Tibetan Buddhist Gyuto Tantric University monks, Terry Riley, Pauline Oliveros, and David Hykes and the Harmonic Choir performed in the One World Music Festival of Sacred Chant at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City. For this historic meeting, they were joined in symposia by Philip Glass, Prof. Robert Thurman, and Tim Wilson. Narrated by Kabir Bedi; produced and directed by Robyn Brentano. The composers discussed the influence of Tibetan, Mongolian, and Indian music on their work.
