French Baguettes / Follow my SIMPLE recipe to bake this beautiful French bread classic at home.

Baking baguettes can certainly seem daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. Watch the video to see how easy it is to achieve that sought-after open crumb by following a few simple steps I’ve given in this short video. For the recipe you will need: 500g all-purpose flour 350g water 50g sourdough starter (levain) 10g salt instant dry yeast 1. Mix the flour with 320g water and leave it to rest for an hour. 2. Mix the remaining water with salt and add it to the dough, along with the yeast and sourdough starter. 3. Knead the dough for 10 minutes until its smooth. Shape it into a ball and put into an oiled bowl. 4. Proof the dough at room temperature for an hour, until it has risen slightly and bubbles are clearly visible on its surface. Cover and put in the fridge for 14 hours. 5. Take the dough out of the fridge and leave it at room temperature for an hour. 6. Remove from the bowl, divide into four equal pieces, pre-shape, cover with a damp cloth and leave to rise for 45 miinutes. 7. Shape the cylind
