Rarely seen: Bathing White Storks / Badderende Ooievaars (Ciconia cicona)

White Storks are seldom seen bathing. They need to feel comfortable, on this field filled with very alert geese, they feel secure enough. They chose a shallow pool at first checking whether the water is clean enough close to their nest. Both take a bath and extensive preening and cleaning. Because the nesting period is near, they feel aggressive towards any future danger, after seeing a grey Heron being chased away I managed to film how a hare was chased away from the field they consider to be their territo
