Black and chestnut Eagles

The Black-and-chestnut Eagle is one of the rarest and most beautiful birds of Andean cloud forests. It is also very poorly studied because of its remote habitat and low population. Due primarily to destruction of the cloud forest, the eagle is listed as endangered. Only 250-1500 adults are thought to exist in the world.
