Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co., Ltd (DSME) is one of the largest shipbuilders in the world and one of the “Big Three“ shipbuilders of South Korea. On 21 February 2011, the A. P. Moller-Maersk Group (Maersk) ordered 10 large container ships from Daewoo, each with a capacity of 18,000 containers, surpassing the current record holder; the Mærsk E-class at 15,200 containers. The first is to be delivered in 2014. There is an option of 20 more. The new class is called the Triple E class.
