In North America, the album was titled “Georgy Girl.“ “Yesterday“ was originally written by Paul McCartney of the Beatles and credited to Lennon-McCartney. McCartney wrote most of the song, with John Lennon later saying, “Paul wrote nearly all of it, but we just couldn’t find the right title. We called it ’Scrambled Eggs’ and it became a joke between us. We made up our minds that only a one-word title would suit, we just couldn’t find the right one.“ Eventually, McCartney woke up one morning in Portugal in 1965 with the song and title already completed.
