Starting with an 808 or 909 drum machine or similar, you need a waveform with punch which you can apply a lot of distortion and eq to. Drag it to a sampler track to start manipulating the waveform in Distroyer, which can add asymmetrical distortion. It’s used to add heavy distortion, with the symmetry change and then boosting and cutting frequencies to change the sound of the kick to your taste. Once you are happy with the sound, you can use the render in place function to create a new file.
