Recorded live at the Madison Square Garden, New York on January 9, 1997 for David Bowie’s 50th birthday benefit concert. The audio from this video comes from a 1997 bootleg CD originated from a soundboard digital stereo source. The quality is outstanding, the mix is not brickwalled for broadcast. The video comes, allegedly, from HBO’s promo VHS tapes - unfortunately, the quality is not so good. This concert was only officially released by HBO’s pay-per-view service on March 8, 1997. * Unfortunately the first two minutes of this video were deliberately taped in poor quality - someone must have used an exaggerated zoom while recording or editing.
