Drama King was written to highlight all of the wrong doings/narcissism that goes on between men in friendships and or relationships. Singer Mark Faroudi and the entire band have all had multiple people in their lives that tried to hold them down, were constantly negative and belittling as friends, and overall just a bad human come in and out of their lives. The band has always loved the song “Man Overboard“ by blink-182. 408 wanted to bring that energy into 2022, while also touching on nostalgic sounds of the very early 2000s. The band wanted to make a fun “American Pie“ type diss track with some EDM drops and a sound that blends well into the coming year of 2023.
