Gibson Custom Shop is proud to introduce the Tak Matsumoto 1955 Les Paul™ Goldtop, a Japan & Asia exclusive. Based on his cherished vintage 1955 Les Paul Goldtop, it features a lightweight one-piece mahogany body and a two-piece plain maple top. The electronics include a set of Burstbucker™ Pro Alnico 5 pickups hand-wired with vintage taper CTS® potentiometers and Grey Tiger capacitors. The finish and hardware have been custom-aged by the artisans of the Murphy Lab to replicate Tak’s rare all-Gold original.
