Stevie Ray Vaughan Scuttle Buttin’ Picking

#pettipasmusicacademy Most people try to play Scuttle Buttin’ picking every note for the riff. Stevie didn’t actually do that, on the first note with the slide he picks, the second note the open B string he picks, the open high E string he pulls with his middle finger. He does this any time he’s playing the main riff of the song. Here are some examples of him doing it. Sorry I couldn’t find a lot of clips where you could see his picking hand really clear.
