Gustaf Adolf Mankell - Prelude and Fugue in G Major | Gustaf Vasa Church in Stockholm

Today I’d like to share with you Prelude and Fugue in G Major by Swedish Romantic composer Gustaf Adolf Mankell (1812-1880). I recorded it at the beautiful Gustaf Vasa church on the Setterquist organ from 1915 at Gustav Vasa church. The church organ was built to the wishes of the famous Swedish composer Otto Olsson, who was also the church organist 1907–1956. The organ has 76 voices spread over three manuals and pedals. Perfect harmony between the organ and the church - elegant, graceful and solemn at the same time. Thanks so much to the organist Olof Andersson for hospitality and letting us play this marvelous instrument! Hope you will enjoy it!
