Trying on Kimonos, sending postcards and driving around Tokyo Paralympic venues!

Part 3 of my Japanese adventures. I am here to work at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic games but first we have to go through soft quarantine - 2 weeks of just walking between the venues (work) & the hotel. Just outside of the office building we meet Misato - who started her business with kimonos - trying to turn them into casual wear. She asks to take pictures of me and my colleague Zainab (who originally comes from Syria but lives in Japan for many years) and we agree. What a positive moment of the day! I also try Japanese ice-cream and it’s a mystery what it consists of. The jet lag is still bothering me cause I’m a night owl. The first drive around makes me too excited and we have a media tour to Shibuya crossing - one of the busiest crossings in the world. Sending a postcard to Russia from Japan takes 3-4 MONTHS they say. Okay, let’s see how it’s in reality (I hope it’s less :). And finally: Paralympics! It’s here and it’s HAPPENING.
