Propeller Car (1955)

Yeovil, Somerset. M/S of a small convertible car with large propeller at the back. The car is sitting in front of a house. A man in the car starts the engine and the car moves. Cut to the car driving along a curvy road. Panning L/S of the car driving. Another car overtakes it. Difference in size between two cars is considerable. This is the first ever propeller driven car. The propeller, three feet in diameter, was powered by the 15 horse power V4 engine - “the home-made invention of 32 years old Clifford Robbins of Yeovil, Somerset.“ Frontal C/U shot of the car driving. Cut to the driver’s profile (Mr. Robbins). As the car moves, voiceover tells the audience about its characteristics. M/S of a policeman on the motorbike looking at the propeller car suspiciously.
