Jake Matthews “The Celtic Kid“ made his UFC debut at the UFC Fight Night 43 event at Vector Arena in Auckland on June 28, 2014. Matthews showed a cage wisdom beyond his years and submitted Dashon Johnson in the third round. Johnson was 9-0 heading into the fight and was completely dominated by Matthews. At 19 years old Matthews is the youngest fighter on the UFC roster.
