Giro d’Italia 2023 | Stage 21 | The route 📏

🇮🇹🚴‍♂ Stage 21: ROMA - ROMA --- The final stage features an approach from the start in Roma‑EUR to the first pass over the finish line (reaching the coast in Ostia, and going back to the start area), followed by a closing circuit within the Capital. The riders will race 6 loops of a 13.6 km circuit on the streets of Rome (wide, with some traffic dividers). Short undulations are interspersed with long straight sections, connected by sometimes tricky bends. The road surface is mostly tarmac, with some short stretches over road pavers (“sanpietrini”). Final kilometres 🚴‍♂ The route is essentially flat and the roads are wide and straight, with wide bends in the final 3 km. The home straight is 700 m long, the road is 8 m wide and paved with “sanpietrini”, climbing slightly. ---- Tappa finale divisa in due parti: avvicinamento, dalla partenza a Roma-EUR, fino al primo passaggio sulla linea di arrivo (si raggiunge il litorale a Ostia e si ritorna in zona partenza) e in seguito circuito finale (6 giri) all’interno della Capitale. Il circuito di 13.6 km si sviluppa interamente lungo le vie cittadine (ampie e talvolta con alcuni spartitraffico). Si alternano brevi ondulazioni e lunghi rettilinei raccordati da curve a volte impegnative. Il fondo stradale è prevalentemente asfaltato con alcuni brevi tratti in pavé (“sanpietrini”). Ultimi km 🚴‍♂ Ultimi chilometri sostanzialmente pianeggianti su strade larghe e rettilinee. Curve degli ultimi tre chilometri ampie. Rettilineo di arrivo di 700 m, largo 8 m fondo in “sanpietrini” in leggerissima ascesa. #giroditalia #giro
