SARAH FRANCIS( 1938 ‐ )
Sarah Francis is a leading British oboist and a Fellow of the Royal College of Music. She has broadcast regularly for the BBC since the age of nineteen. Her many solo performances include concertos at the Proms and in the South Bank concert halls. Major works by Gordon Crosse, William Mathias and Anthony Payne have been dedicated to her. She has given master-classes at the Moscow, Amsterdam and Geneva Conservatoires, the Cologne Hochschule and the Royal Danish and Swedish Academies.
