English: Today we want you to walk with us Nikolskaya Street (Russian: Никольльская улица) is a pedestrian street in the Kitay-Gorod district of Moscow that connects Red Square with Lubyanka Square. The north side of the street is flanked by historic buildings, such as the Kazan Cathedral, the Old Mint, the Holy Savior Monastery, the St. Nicholas Greek Monastery (from which this street takes its name) and the former Holy Synod Printing House, Russia’s first publishing house. On the south side are the GUM and the Church of the Dormition, an example of Naryshkin Baroque underwritten by the Saltykov family of boyars in 1691.
