The real sizes of countries are much smaller than on the Mercator map. Especially Russia in reality is much smaller than shown on the Mercator map. It is relatively very small. Also much smaller the size of Greenland island, smaller the size of the continent of Antarctica, smaller Scandinavia and Canada, and some other countries and islands
