You can watch the full session on the BBC iPlayer here: MaryAnne Hobbs from BBC Radio 6 Music invited Beth Gibbons and her band to spend the day at BBC Maida Vale studios a few weeks back to record tracks from her new album Lives Outgrown, plus a classic track from her 2002 album Out Of Season, who she made with Paul Webb (aka Rustin Man) from Talk Talk. Beth’s signature, haunting vocals and lyrics with Portishead put the band at the epicentre of the Bristol scene in the mid 90s. Her last album with Portishead “Third“ was released back in 2008.
