Ryuichi Sakamoto - Andata (Glass Piano)

rip :( “Andata” is the first track of Ryuichi Sakamoto’s latest solo album, “async”, released in 2017. The piano heard in the original release was recorded at Sakamoto’s home in New York. He often performed “Andata” live as a piano solo; many other songs from “async” are challenging to play live. It is the first publishing of a piano score produced by himself. I made this recording using Philip Glass’s piano (sampled/recorded by @spitfireaudiollp at his home in New York City, this is the legendary composer’s beloved piano - Baldwin baby grand) Imagine it’s like Ryuichi Sakamoto visiting Philip Glass and playing for him.
