Gukesh created history by winning the FIDE Candidates 2024. He became the youngest ever to do so in the history of chess and he did it at the age of 17 years and 11 months. Gukesh scored 9.0/14. With this achievement Gukesh has earned the right to challenge Ding Liren for the World Championship title.
