O SOLE MIO / IT’S NOW OR NEVER - ( solo piano with lyrics)

O Sole Mio was written in 1898. Italian lyrics by Giovanni Capurro, melody composed by Eduardo di Capua. It is usually sung in the Neapolitan language and the title means ’My Sun’ in Italian. In 1960, Aaron Schroeder and Wally Gold wrote English lyrics to the same melody for Elvis at his request and thus the song ’It’s Now or Never’ was released in 1960. I used the sheet music for O Sole Mio when I played it here so it doesn’t go up at the end as when Elvis sings it. Thank you for listening.
