March of the Preobrazhensky Regiment – Russian imperial March

The Preobrazhensky Regiment was one of the oldest and most prestigious Russian guard regiments, founded by Tsar Peter the Great in 1683. It played a significant role in Russia’s history, participating in battles such as the Northern Wars against Sweden. Initially established as royal bodyguard, the regiment underwent changes over time and was dissolved during the Russian Revolution in 1917, as the Bolsheviks saw it as a symbol of the old order of imperial Russia. Despite its dissolution, the Preobrazhensky Regiment remains a noteworthy part of Russian military history. This March was recorded by the Geman Reichswehr (the German Army of the Weimar Republic) in year 1925.
