A Conversation With... Alex Zhang Hungtai (Last Lizard & Dirty Beaches)

On the roof of Double Double Land just before his two-day residence I got to talk to Alex Zhang Hungtai from Last Lizard and previously Dirty Beaches. Sadly, since this was my first interview, stuff didn’t go as planned. The wind kept on distorting the audio, I lost a lot of footage because of low battery, and the camera was lacking in framing. One important scene we lost is when me and Alex were talking about Double Double Land’s Jon McCurley and Viet Cong, but for chapter six we were able to talk about the effects of being a coloured individual in a white society. So in the end everything worked to my liking. The good thing about making mistakes is that you can learn from those mistake until you find what you like.
