Freddie Mercury sings “The Phantom of the Opera“ (full version)

Created using an AI-vocal model of 1970s Freddie Mercury which can be found at Here is a full cover of Freddie Mercury singing ’The Music of the Night’ from “The Phantom of the Opera“. So when I shared my “Freddie as Phantom“ clip the other day on various platforms someone had requested for me to do an AI cover of ’The Music of the Night’ sung by Freddie Mercury, specifically the “let your mind start a journey...“ section. As you all saw from my previous upload, I gave that first section a try and although I wasn’t sure of the results at first, it really grew on me. I decided to tackle the whole thing. I had to record myself doing every single line of the song using mannerisms that would sound as close as possible to Freddie’s phrasing choices from the era the AI vocal is based upon after it was processed thru the program. It took hours and hours, sometimes having to record certain lines over and over again to finally get the one that sounded the most ’correct’ once it was processed. This is what I finished with, and I’m really pleased with the results of the full song. I hope you all will enjoy it as well! There ARE AI-models for Freddie Mercury’s late 1980s and 1990s voice, at some point in the future if I feel up to spending the amount of time it takes to do it right I may do a version using one of those models. I will say I think the way the 1970s model sounds is the smoothest vocal and the one I think people likely imagine most when they imagine Freddie singing The Phantom.
