They often felt the emotions of the song while performing it. -Recorded live in the studio with very little overdubbing. If you listen carefully in the beginning, you can hear the squeak of John Bonham’s drum pedal. -In the studio, Jimmy Page improvised the guitar solo in one take. The engineer called it “the best rock guitar solo of all time”. -The riff in the beginning was taken from “New York City Blues” by the Yardbirds. Jimmy Page was not yet a member of that band when it was written. -The opening and closing lyrics of the song are nearly identical to the 1968 Moby Grap song “Never”. LED ZEPPELIN FACTS Formed in London, England in 1968. Orig
