Israeli officials propose killing newly appointed Hamas political chief

Israel is calling for the assassination of newly appointed Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, who succeeded Ismail Haniyeh following his recent assassination in Tehran. Iran has vowed to avenge Haniyeh’s death. Meanwhile, President Biden has stated that the killing of Haniyeh doesn’t help ceasefire talks in Gaza.
