Brooklyn Park Police: Two Schools Evacuated Due To Bomb Threat

Law enforcement advised that students and staff at Jackson Middle School and nearby Champlin-Brooklyn Park Academy evacuate due to a phoned-in bomb threat, according to alerts sent out by police and Anoka-Hennepin School District officials Wednesday afternoon. Students were relocated to nearby Champlin Park High School. According to school officials, someone left a voicemail with a threat of a bomb. “An immediate investigation could not determine the validity of the message and law enforcement is currently actively searching the building to determine if there is any threat to our school,” read a statement sent out by the school district Wednesday afternoon.
