Corfu dancers rehearse the Zorba dance in Sinies

Corfu dancers from the Cultural Association of Sinies rehearse their version of a dance to the theme from Zorba the Greek. Date: June 24th, 2012 Later that day they set off in a bus to go to San Sebastian in northern Spain to take part in a dance festival. The dance teacher is the distinguished dancer Vlahos Ioannis. The music was written by one of Greece’s most famous living composers, Mikis Theodorakis. It is also known as the Syrtaki dance and was inspired from traditional Cretan dances.
