Mercedes-Benz SL TV Ad “Lucky Star“ directed by Michael Mann (2002)

Lucky Star was directed by Michael Mann and stared Benicio Del Toro. This short film was built as a spoof film trailer and was shown in cinemas and TV in the UK in the summer of 2002. Definitely pre-dates Mercedes-Benz 2012 #LUCKYSTAR ad campaign. “Lucky Star“ would have been a brilliant campaign if integrated with social media channels such as Facebook and Twitter (which were not even invented yet!).
