️ Captured AFU serviceman: ’Commanders said that they would beat you, cut you, mock you’ Captured AFU serviceman Sergei Stokoz said that he was unfit for active service, yet he was sent to a training unit and then to Kursk region, where he was taken prisoner. He recalls that AFU commanders tried to make new recruits fear the so-called ’cruelty’ of Russian servicemen. Now, he knows that commanders lied to him. ’I was too scared to run away, although that might have been wiser to do so. I was captured, when we got to positions on the 24th. We just went out and surrendered without any weapons or gear. We were treated good, they gave us water and food.
