Robert Devereux to Queen Elisabeth I (Letter writing in Madarasz Script)

This is another historical ’love’ letter, the original written by the 2nd Earl of Essex, Robert Devereux, who was for a time a favorite and (maybe) a lover of Queen Elisabeth I – she was more then 30 years his senior. He must have been quite the charmer, as well as arrogant, ambitious and witty, being married and having had several lovers … the story did not end well, as the Earl later rebelled against Elisabeth after a series of military, political and personal mistakes and was convicted of high treason.
