Since I’ve Been Loving You - Led Zeppelin (Rough mix in progress)

I had uploaded this in 2018, but I’m reuploading it because looking back, I am dissatisfied with the remastering job I did back then. This is a rough mix of Since I’ve Been Loving You, which was likely taken from very late in the mixing stage, before mastering. The only obvious difference is the solo, which contains some awesome yells from Robert Plant, instead of the solo itself being double-tracked in some places. It is likely that the yells were overwritten on the 8-track tape itself, in order to make way for the solo overdub that appears on the final version of the song. Aside from that, the mix itself does sound slightly different overall, which suggests that this version of the song never advanced to the mastering stage of production. There, the mix would’ve been properly refined. As always, the kick pedal squeak is audible loud and clear. This recording appears on disc 6 of the Studio Magik Sessions set, released by Godfather Records.
