First Greek animated feature (1942-1945)

Titled “Ο Ντούτσε αφηγείται“ (Il Duce narrates), this anti-war short animated film began in the greek island of Sifnos during the italian fascist occupation in 1942. One can see what a daring move that must have been. The animator was Stamatis Polenakis. He made the drafts in Sifnos and after Greece’s liberation he moved in 1945 in Athens.
