As a child I was fascinated by the detailed illustrations by Gustave Dore. The idea that someone sat in a room and turned thousands of tiny hatch marks into such powerful images was moving even to my adolescent mind. This video is a tribute to his work and a visualization of how it felt falling into these images back then.
