HAC on Plastic Treaty provisions to eliminate the release of plastic in nature

The High Ambition Coalition aims to end plastic pollution by 2040, but in order to do that, the world needs to stop the release of plastics (including microplastics) into nature, which in turn, requires international cooperation, or a global treaty. This video outlines the main proposals for provisions to stop the release of plastics into nature made by the HAC Co-Chairs ahead of the second session of the ‘Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee to develop an international legally binding instrument to end plastic pollution, including in the marine environment’. This video is the fourth in a series created by GRID-Arendal for the High Ambition Coalition to End Plastic Pollution. To follow along, subscribe to our YouTube Channel.
