Belarus’s Caracal self-propelled anti-tank missile system has debuted at the MILEX-2011 international weapons show in Minsk.
The system can carry up to 12 missiles of various types to engage hostile tanks, helicopters or small bunkers. Targets can be destroyed at a distance of up to 5 km. The system’s missiles are capable of engaging tanks equipped with explosive reactive armor. Reloading can be done remotely, without manned action.
The Caracal is equipped with a remote extension. The developers believe this enhances its combat potential. They say the new weapon has already found its first buyers in one of the Eastern countries.
