There were still genuine working steam locomotives in Java in 2015. Purwodadi sugar mill, near Madian, still has three serviceable O&K 0-8-0T locomotives out of a shed that once had eighteen. And two are in daily use during the milling season pulling and pushing loaded loris of sugar cane across a busy main road into the mill.
