Critical Nepal

The Madhesis in Nepal have been protesting against the new constitution since mid August. To pressure the government they have blocked the border between Nepal and India. Many people have been killed and injured by police. The protest has four main demands: - electoral constituencies based on population - proportional representation in government bodies - identity-based provincial demarcation - equal citizenship rights for men and women See more at:
