New York protesters call for cancellation of Christmas in solidarity with Gaza

Thousands took to the streets of New York on Monday to demand the cancellation of Christmas in support of Palestinians. Pro-Palestinian protesters, carrying a sculpture of the Virgin Mary holding a body bag with baby Jesus covered in blood, flocked to Rockefeller Center where the Christmas tree and popular skating rink are located. They also waved Palestinian flags and placards reading ’Stop calling it conflict when it’s genocide,’ ‘Stop the violence’ and ’Ceasefire now.’
