After completing his studies at the Civico Istituto Musicale Pareggiato Gaetano Donizetti in Bergamo, he moved to Germany in 1997, firstly to Darmstadt and then to Cologne, where he deepened his knowledge while specialising at the Akademie für Tonkunst and Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln respectively. Various awards and acknowledgments convinced him to transform his hobby into a profession with the goal of spreading the popularity of classical guitar and its repertoire. He still lives in Cologne, where alongside his live performances, he teaches his skills and knowledge at the city’s civic school, Rheinische Musikschule Köln.
