[books, roses, and dragons]

That pretty much sums up the wonderful Catalan Diada de Sant Jordi.
It is also known as the Day of Books and Roses. 📚🌹
Guess what? Yes, people here exchange books and roses as gifts.
What do you think? Yes, as gifts, folks here trade books and roses.
For one day only, the entire Passeg de Gracia and a few more streets were lined with numerous book stalls... they were really countless!!
Casa Batlló was decorated with roses for a reason, actually. The whole building with it’s scale-covered roof and spear-like tower represents St. George (aka Sant Jordi), whose day was celebrated, actually.
By the way, did you know that I collected the first novel in the ⚡ Harry Potter ⚡ series in every language possible?
I have quite a few, in fact. I got Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone from 🇷🇺, 🇧🇬, 🏴, 🇺🇸, 🇵🇹, 🇵🇱, 🇸🇰, 🇩🇪, 🇫🇷, 🇮🇹, 🇭🇷, 🇫🇮, 🇬🇷, 🇪🇸, 🇦🇷, 🇹🇭, 🇭🇺, 🇯🇵, 🇰🇷, and also in some more languages. Sometimes several editions from one country.
The original idea was to practice languages with them: this is the book I love and know almost by heart ♥️
That makes it ideal for improving my reading skills for every new language I’m learning!
I even used it to prepare for my Portuguese language exam! 🇵🇹
I usually buy HP books as souvenirs from the countries I visit. I absolutely prefer the ones with the so-called “national,“ one-of-a-kind covers that can only be found in this country.
Because these are difficult to come by, I occasionally order them.
From time to time my friends bring them to me as gifts. That’s why I have it from countries I have never been to 😅
Here I would like to thank @caroledao, @hey_evgeniy, [id45463033|@ma_x_on], @julia200891, @lena_pruvodkyne, @, @hrissy19, and everyone of my friends who have ever given me HP books as gifts!
What do you collect? 😉
