I created and posted a commentary free version of this fight back in January of 2020 and it can be viewed at the link* below. I just so happened to run into a Japanese broadcast of the fight earlier today and I don’t know Japanese, of course, but I do like how animated the Japanese commentators get during pretty much every single fight that I have ever came across that has Japanese commentary. These dudes appear to love them some boxing. Also, I like to read the translated commentary to get a feel of how boxing media in other parts of the world view a fight. As Americans, I think almost all of us forget that boxing is truly a worldwide sport and that our opinions on fight outcomes aren’t always shared by the fans, boxing media, or the fighters in other parts of the world. Different countries don’t always share the same priorities regarding what fighters need to do to win rounds on their scorecards. I was interested in how the Japanese viewed this fight and it’s outcome, although I still don’t know the answer
