After Donna Summer hit big with her debut single “Love To Love You Baby“, she had some difficulty maintaining a presence on the pop charts, but ruled the disco charts with 7 separate entries that all went Top 10 including four hits for a total of 19 weeks at #1 . In the interim, she released two albums “A Love Trilogy“ in 1976 and then later on that same year “Four Seasons Of Love“ which began her fascination with album concepts but did not keep her on the pop charts. She took us all in a new direction with the groundbreaking single “I Feel Love“, a #6 pop hit in 1977 from her “I Remember Yesterday“ LP that displayed her verisimilitude with the pop idioms from the 40’s, 60’s and beyond.
