Mikhail Baryshnikov - ’Vestris’ (1969)

Leonid Jacobson choreographed ’Vestris’ to showcase the versatile talents of Mikhail Baryshnikov. In the video I’ve put together, the choreographer is seen coaching Baryshnikov with some of the mime involved with the ballet. There is then black and white footage Baryshnikov performing part of ’Vestris’ at the Moscow International Ballet Competition of 1969.
